Fall & Winter
Few sights are as breathtaking as New Jersey’s great outdoors in autumn. Whether you’re lying beneath the stars, sitting next to a warm campfire in one of our state parks, or viewing the fantastic display of fall foliage in our state forests – there are boundless opportunities to explore.
Our state historic sites are also bustling with activities, offering special events ranging from the Annual Country Living Fair at Batsto Village with tons of country crafts, music and food, to candlelight tours of Rockingham during the holidays, and the Annual Central New Jersey Railroad Heritage Festival at the historic train Terminal at Liberty State Park.
Take a stroll through the past while visiting Historic Allaire Village and watch the blacksmith ply his trade, shop at the general store or tour the mansion where James P. Allaire lived with his family.
If you’re interested in learning about astronomy, taking a guided nature hike or lending a hand to help clean up the beach, then a visit to New Jersey’s state parks and forests is for you!
I encourage everyone to get out and spend an afternoon, make it an entire day or plan a weekend getaway and enjoy all the natural and historic resources that the New Jersey’s state parks and forests have to offer.
Sincerely,
Jon S. Corzine
